Harry Clayton is a talented but flawed Detective Inspector (DI) with the London Murder Squad. His gambling addiction has cost him his wife and daughter, and indebted him for thousands of pounds to a casino owner. His life changes when he meets a mysterious woman called Eve in the casino. After spending the night with her, he wakes to find an irremovable and indestructible antique bracelet around his wrist, a bracelet that brings him an immense amount of luck, but creates an equal share of bad luck for others.
